        These alternative techniques help me get through my day. I’m still learning about how all of this actually works. But I like to stay curious. All I know right now is that taking the time to work on myself eases my anxiety. (Note: These tools are supplementary to my professional counseling and therapy through BetterHelp.)

Emotional Freedom Techniques

EFT, or emotional freedom technique is an alternative treatment for physical pain and emotional distress.

It was difficult for me to take this seriously, at first. It’s taken about 6 months for me to fully open up to how this technique benefits the balance of my emotional state. When I find myself in times of stress or overwhelming emotion, this technique allows me to feel my feelings and allowing them to finally let go.

Inner Child Healing

If I could talk to 5 year old V, what is she doing? How is she feeling? Is she ok? If I nurture 12 year old V, will she finally find the solace in herself that she’s not alone? If I take the time to heal all of the inner versions of myself, will I finally give myself the chance to be whole, be ageless in my soul?
